Komal Sharma

Komal Sharma’s path to painting has been one of discovery, discipline, and devotion. Born in Chandigarh, India, she pursued a Bachelor of Architecture before relocating to Australia for a Master’s degree in the field. Throughout her studies, she continued painting, collaborating with interior designers, creating murals for cafés, and teaching art. Over time, what began as parallel practice grew into a calling. With more than 2,200 canvases completed, Komal has developed a style that reflects both technical mastery and a deep philosophy of presence.

Her work explores the quiet but powerful wisdom of animals. She is inspired by the way they exist entirely in the present moment, free from the noise and distraction of human thought, and how this way of being holds lessons for us all. In her paintings, animals become more than subjects. They are guides, inviting viewers to slow down, notice, and connect. They embody mindfulness and remind us of the bond between humans and the natural world, a bond that is spiritual as well as physical.

Komal’s canvases are often described as meditative. Each brushstroke reflects stillness, awareness, and simplicity, encouraging audiences to see through the unfiltered perception of animals and, in doing so, to see themselves more clearly. Her works tell stories of connection, trust, and coexistence, offering a tender yet powerful commentary on how we inhabit this shared world.

Alongside her artistic practice, Komal is committed to giving back. A portion of every sale supports The Lost Dogs’ Home, combining her passion for art with advocacy for animal welfare. She also accepts commissions, creating personal works that capture the essence of beloved animals and the unique relationships people share with them.
