Ringvida Jonuskyte
Ringvida Jonuskyte is a photographer whose work reflects a deep connection with nature, culture and human experience. Raised in Lithuania, her early years were shaped by forests, folklore and a way of life closely tied to the natural world. These influences gave her a quiet, observant approach to image-making.
Her artistic foundation was further developed in the United Kingdom, where she spent more than 5 years immersed in film photography, strengthening her technical skills. Travel throughout Europe refined her visual language and deepened her interest in capturing moments that carry emotional and narrative resonance.
Since moving to Melbourne in 2016, Ringvida has built a varied practice encompassing portrait, event, wedding, and commercial work. Her style is candid, natural and emotive, with an emphasis on authenticity rather than posed formality. She is particularly drawn to editorial photography, where imagery becomes a storytelling medium shaped by tone, character and atmosphere.
Her ongoing series, ‘Wild Women’, explores femininity through its instinctive relationship with nature. Each portrait captures an inner spark that feels both intimate and untamed, revealing freedom, presence and self-awareness. The women portrayed stand confidently in their own identity, yet offer the viewer a glimpse of their essence.
‘Wild Women’ is a reminder of the strength and creativity inherent in every woman. Through Ringvida’s lens, the series becomes a space to reconnect with inner power, sensuality and courage. The photographs celebrate the wild and resilient spirit that shapes each woman’s journey, honouring the beauty found in embracing one’s true self.
