About the Artist:
Raised in an artistic family between British and Swiss heritage, and surrounded by theatre, philosophy and classic cinema, Zoe developed a natural fluency in visual storytelling from an early age. After studying Film and Media in London, she returned to Paris to train in art restoration, gaining a deep respect for traditional methods and materials. In her own practice, she works primarily in charcoal, creating highly detailed, photorealist drawings that reveal the inner life of her subjects through tone and gesture rather than spectacle. Alongside this, she restores paintings and frames, including specialist work with gold leaf, carefully preserving the integrity of each original piece. Moving between Paris and Luzern, she draws on both cities for inspiration, balancing quiet studio practice with constant exposure to historic and contemporary art.
