About the Artist

Annemarie’s work is grounded in the process of preservation, where transformation becomes a quiet act of attention rather than loss. As botanicals move from vitality to stillness, form gives way to structure, negative space, and rhythm, revealing new meanings over time. Guided by symbolism rather than spectacle, her practice engages with life’s thresholds, moments of union, remembrance, and return, creating works that hold personal and cultural resonance.

About the Artwork

This piece is a tribute and a cosmic cycle. While a linear timeline might feel like an ending, Edgaro : metų ratas (Year’s Circle) implies that a person's story is woven into the eternal rhythm of nature. It addresses the "one year" distance by collapsing it into a circle where everything remains present and "close."
