About the Artist:
For over twenty years, Mishfit has carved out a distinctive place in the urban art landscape, painting internationally from Melbourne’s laneways to major European festivals. Her work merges classical techniques with street art energy, resulting in vibrant, layered compositions that carry both grit and refinement. Drawing on old masters, Japanese ukiyo-e, surrealism, retro-futurism, and mythology, she has developed a visual language centred on luminous cloudscapes and obscured figures that serve as metaphors for human emotion. Themes of empowerment, transformation, escapism and resilience run through her practice, shaped by years spent challenging the male-dominated graffiti scene and reclaiming space through powerful female imagery.
About the Artwork:
Real or imagined, this ethereal work invites quiet contemplation, drawing us into a world that hovers between reality and fantasy. Delicate peach hues mingle with cool, serene blues, creating a surface of tranquillity—yet a subtle disquiet ripples beneath, hinting at modern life’s disrupted realities and shifting undercurrents. Inspired by the artist’s own sunset photography along the rugged West Australian coastline.
