Artist statement:

As a continuation of my fascination with light and shadow, 'Sunlit Symphony' is part of my series of paintings that combine figurative elements with a handheld fan, each piece evoking particular feelings or messages. I aim to arouse curiosity, delight, and appreciation for the little details behind my subjects through a carefully composed scene that captures the intricate light-and-shadow play. My 2024 series of fan paintings draws inspiration from the mesmerising hues reminiscent of opals, as well as the captivating colours observed during sunsets and sunrises.
