As a continuation of my fascination with light and shadow, 'Sunset Serenade' is part of my series of paintings involving the collaboration of figurative and a handheld fan, with each piece emulating particular feelings or messages. I aim to evoke curiosity, delight and appreciation of the little details behind my subjects, through the use of a carefully composed scene that captures the intricate light and shadow play. My 2024 series of fan paintings draw inspiration from the mesmerising hues reminiscent of opals, as well as the captivating colours observed during sunsets and sunrises
