About the Artist

Luka’s artistic universe is shaped by her fascination with everyday rituals and the subtle behaviour of city dwellers — reimagined through the expressive personalities of animals. Her characters, often hybrids of humans and wildlife, explore themes of companionship, adventure and the quiet joy of ordinary moments. Australia’s unique fauna deeply influenced her visual language and sparked the creation of her label Surfing Sloth, known for its playful, imaginative charm. Though watercolour is her core medium, she enjoys experimenting with ink, digital illustration, and mixed techniques, always keeping spontaneity and humour at the forefront.
