Bi-monthly artist feature
Ringvida Januskyte is a Lithuanian-born photographer whose lens seeks not just to document, but to connect. Her work captures the quiet beauty, complexity, and raw emotion of the world around her. Raised among the forests and folklore of the last pagan country in Europe, she developed a deep reverence for nature, mythology, and the unseen threads that bind us to place and one another.
Her journey as an artist deepened during five years in the UK, where she explored the slow, deliberate world of film photography. This time, along with extensive travels across Europe and beyond, sharpened her eye for composition and story. It also rooted her practice in curiosity, intuition, and emotion.
Now based in Melbourne, Ringvida works across portraiture, weddings, and commercial commissions. But it is her editorial and fine art photography that lies closest to her heart. Her limited-edition prints often explore themes of stillness, memory, and feminine strength. Alongside these works, she also shares photographs from her travels — moments of natural beauty, fleeting light, and quiet connection.
